Abstract (EN)
Among the well-known methods the widely used equation for calculating wave forces on slender piles for coastal and offshore structures is Morison equation. Usually to be able to calculate the wave forces on the jetties, single pile forces which has been calculated with the Morison equation are summed arithmetically or a single pile force multiplied by pile number on the structure and these total forces are used as the force acting on the jetty. But this method does not take the time dependent and irregular nature of the sea surface into account or displacement of the jetty piles.
