Abstract (EN)
This thesis aims to investigate various aspects of PFC circuit topologies and control methods required for power supply circuits for TV applications and to present a study of which topology and control method would be most suitable for the required PFC structure greater than 200 W power levels. For this purpose, PFC circuits which are mostly used in TV applications are examined and power factor performance and efficiency comparison of power circuits are presented. In this thesis, three different types of PFC circuit, boundary conduction mode (BCM) boost PFC, 180° phase shift interleaved BCM boost PFC and average current mode control (ACM) semi-bridgeless boost PFC circuits have been designed and detailed simulations have been carried out. Also prototypes of these three circuits were produced and experimental results were presented comparatively.
