Characterization of nutrient element ve tocopherol content of 'Gulcan 2' x 'Lauranne' and 'Guara' x 'Nurlu' F1 almond population

Abstract (EN)

Almond is an important nut fruit for human health due to the its fruit is rich in nutrients and tocopherol. In recent years, many breeding programs work on high nutrient and phytochemical content in many countries. This study characterized the tocopherol and nutrient content of almond seeds obtained Gülcan 2 × Laruanne and Guara ×Nurlu F1 population. One hundred and three genotype of Gülcan 2 × Laruanne, and 105 genotype of Guara ×Nurlu population were used in this study. Macro and micro nutrient content; Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Phosphorus (P), Manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn), Iron (Fe )were analyzed. K, Ca, Mg, P, Mn, Zn, Fe content were obtained in Gülcan; 0.72%, 1.27%, 0.20%, 0.38%, 4.34 ppm, 47.34 ppm, 48.00 ppm respectively. In Lauranne; 0.77%, 1.43%, 0.18%-0.42%, 8.00 ppm,48.34 ppm,33.00 ppm. In Guara; 0.77%, 1.29%, 0.17%, 0.37%, 7.34ppm, 38.00 ppm, 40.34 ppm and in Nurlu; 0.71%, 1.22%, 0.18%, 0.40%, 3.67 ppm, 36.67 ppm, 43.67ppm. Macro and micro nutrient content; K (0.58-1.11 %) , Ca (1.03-1.93 %), Mg (0.05-0.19 %, P (0.29-079 %) , Fe (18.34-70.34 ppm), Zn (28.00-65.00 ppm), Mn (10.67-38.34 ppm ) values were observed in F1 population of Gülcan × Laruanne. Also tocopherol content were analyzed; alfa-tocopherol (216,75-852,13 ug / ml), beta tocopherol content (1.51 -16.87 mg/g) and gama tocopherol content (1.63-23.83 mg/g).
