Abstract (EN)

Today, new and renewable energy sources are needed to meet the increasing energy demand. Renewable energy sources that pollute nature and the environment less are preferred instead of fossil fuel energy plants because they pollute nature and the environment. Solar energy is also one of the most used sources among renewable energy sources. Substances that convert the energy in sunlight into electrical energy such as Silicon, Gallium Arsenide (GaAs), Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) and Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) are preferred in solar panel production. In this study, the electrical model of the solar power plant was drawn and the relationship and changes between current, voltage and power, I-V and P-V were also calculated graphically with the help of the Matlab program. The change in the electrical properties of the solar panel in different solar radiation was calculated and the electricity production of the solar panel was found. Since the working method of the solar panel is similar to a diode, the ideal diode equation was used when calculating the current obtained from the solar panel. The extended formula of the ideal diode equation was obtained by adding the resistance losses in the solar panel to the current calculations of the solar panel. Solar panels, which convert solar energy into electricity, produce electricity with a 16-21% energy conversion, making solar panels usable in power plant construction. Considering the geographical features of the location where the solar power plant will be built, monthly electricity production was calculated by analyzing it with computer simulation programs. A power plant with an installed power of 1066.7 kW AC is being built on the roof of the Vehicle Maintenance Directorate affiliated to the Ankara EGO General Directorate. The plant was simulated with PVSyst 7.4 and PVSOL programs, and the characteristics of the equipment used in the plant, electricity production amounts and economic analysis were obtained. The annual profit amounts obtained from the investment and the expenses of the investment were found annually.
