Abstract (EN)

Solar energy as an important and reliable kind of renewable energy source which has a very high potential in our country and extensively has been used to heat domestic water and to generate electrical energy especially in recent years. In this study, solar radiation data of Kütahya province are discussed. Monthly average solar radiation and efficiency graphs per square meter in Kütahya were obtained for solar collectors and photovoltaic panels in the market. By using these graphs, the indoor heating and domestic hot water requirements of a building have been realized for the sunny hours of the day. The design for Kütahya province was also applied to the province of İzmir and two different regions were compared. The most important role in this design of the system is the circulation of the water. The pumps which provide the circulation of the hot water can be operated by electricity from the sun, using the pumps efficiently. This is possible with the control software and the use of sensors to ensure the software works properly. The control panel circuit is designed and programmed to operate the pumps within certain parameters and limits. As a result, energy needs of a building including electricity, water heating and ambient heating have been calculated. When the potential of solar energy in our country is considered, the design of the buildings can be realized to receive the sun rays best. As a result, the energy demand of these buildings can be provided from sun in sunny hours. It can be considered that the annual energy requirement for heating the building and obtaining hot water in the whole year can be supplied in the regions where our country has a milder and higher monthly average radiation values.
