Abstract (EN)

The irrigation is made by using water pumps working with mostly electric, fuel-oil or conventional energy sources in Turkey. Fuel and oil pumps are used where in agricultural areas without electrical line or difficult and expensive to transport of electrical lines. Such systems always want to daily maintenance and not to areas with plenty of water, but can be installed in a location with easy access. Solar powered water pumping systems do not require daily maintenance and they can be installed at any much sunny place desired. Despite the initial establishment costs are high of the pump types, fuel and maintenance needs not pass the economic situation in a short time. Because there aren't fuel and maintenance needs, they come in the economic situation in a short time. In this project, an offgrid solar water pumping system with PLC controlled was designed and the system was set up. For this purpose, first, a pilot region (Elazig, Gözebasi Village, Yesilyurt Field) was determined and power transmission line cost accounts only for irrigation purposes in the event was taken. The cost was calculated for the establishment of the power transmission line only for irrigation purposes in this region. And then, an offgrid solar powered water pumping system in the event of the establishment in this region the cost was calculated and were compared these two cases. After the system is run and operated, the received data from the system was recorded to a computer and was analyzed and interpreted. In addition, in order to analyze power quality, the measurement of the power supplied by the system, load current, voltage and other parameters (frequency, power factor, active, reactive and apparent powers) has been done.
