Abstract (EN)

Imam Muhammad undertook the most important task in the codification of the Hanafi sect. He managed to convey the views of the sect to future generations. These works are divided into two parts: Zâhirür'r-rivaye and Nâdirü'r-rivaye. Hâkim al-Shahîd compiled the book al-Asl, which is the largest and most important among Imam Muhammad's Zâhirur'r-rivâye works, as a summary under the name of al-Kâfî. However, he sometimes benefited from other Zahiru'r-rivaye works other than al-Asl, his narrations and the works of some other Hanafi imams such as Imam Abu Yusuf. The fact that Sarakhsî, one of the most prominent scholars of the Hanafi sect, wrote a commentary on al-Kâfî and that the book is cited in many source works shows the importance of the work. Although the author's copy of the work has not survived to the present day, many manuscripts are available in libraries. In our study, we aimed to prepare the text that is closest to the original and most accurate by researching the Kitabü'n-nikâh section of al-Kâfî's work according to the manuscripts we determined, after giving information about the author's life and works. The differences were found in the copies where the preference method was used in the investigation are indicated with pseudonyms in the footnotes.
