Investigation of the aminolysis and alcoholysis reactions of cyclophosphazenes

In this work, the aminolysis and alcoholysis reactions of trimer and tetramer were investigated. The aminopodands (3 and 4) were synthesized and commercial amines purchased for aminolysis reactions. Spiro and bino phosphazene compounds (5, 6, 7 and 8) were synthesized from the reactions of aminopodands with trimer and tetramer. Gem-substituted spiro and bino phosphazene compounds 9 and 10 were synthesized from the reactions of excess t-butylamine with compound 6 and 7. The bino-phosphazene compounds 11, 12, 13 and bicyclo-phosphazene compound 14 were obtained from the reactions of commercial diamines with trimer and tetramer. The fully substituted formyl phosphazene compound 15, tetrasubstituted formyl phosphazene compound 16 and monosubstituted formyl phosphazene compound 17 were synthesized by the reaction of trimer and hydroxyaldehyde. By the reaction of compound 15 and 16 with excess of amines, Schiff base-phosphazene compounds 18, 19, 20 and 21 were prepared. The antimicrobial activities of phosphazene compounds were also screened invitro againts the bacteria and yeast cultures.The structures of synthesized phosphazene compounds were identified by using datum of element analysis, IR, UV-VIS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, 31P-NMR and MS spectroscopy. Besides, the structures of compounds 5, 6, 9 and 17 were identified by using the X-ray crystallography method.
