Police television as a public relations application: A model proposal

Purpose of this study is to show the possibility of establishing a police television operating as a public relation tool under the EGM and presenting a model proposal within this purpose. In the study, a theoretical frame is formed by using the method of literature-based analysis and it is researched how to use a mass communication device ?television? as a public relation device.The extend of the study determined by the legal, technical, economical, administrative, and personnel dimension of police television model. Oral interview technique is also used to create the Police TV model. As a result of researches of the study it is concluded that establishing a police TV is a must and it is necessary to reach the desired success in public relations. In this framework, this thesis shows that after necessary legal arrangements, with experts on the field and latest technology, EGM can create a Police TV that will broadcast nationally.
