Abstract (EN)

Inference in the form of analogy in the Hanafī-Maturidian tradition is treated in this research. An analogy, which we can consider in the meaning of applying a judgement on some fact regarding its similar cases to solve its problem having no Quranic ayāt and hadith about, have been used both in Kalam and Usūl al-Fiqh even if not in the same ways. Using of analogy in Kalam is generally called inference, and in Fiqh is called Fiqhian syllogism. In the introduction of our thesis, we introduce Candaroğlu Ismail Bey and his book Hulviyyāt. In the second section, we analyse using of the analogy among the methods of inferences used in Kalam, and treate the position of syllogism in Logic. In the third section, we discuss fiqhian analogy, and its related issues such as illat, ta'līl, and taabbud. And, in the fourth section, we study how Candaroğlu İsmail Bey used analogy in Hulviyyât. We discuss epistemological value of analogy in all last three sections except the introduction. Keywords: Hanafî-Mâturidian tradition, inference, analogy, Hulviyyât.
