Abstract (EN)
In the movement of minimalism that emerged in the mid-19th century, it was desired to get rid of any excess which prevented reaching the essence and therefore a reductionist attitude was maintained in the fields of art and design. First examples of this reductionist attitude emerged in the art of painting and later showed their effects in the field of graphic design. Minimalism has undergone many changes since the 1960s. The formal and / or intellectual methods of minimalism have been used in art and design, regardless of periodic changes. The screens in our daily life take up a little more space each day, while interpreting animated graphic designs and shortening the time required to grasp the essence of the messages they want to convey. In motion graphic designs, minimalism is a preferred way to reach and quickly convey the message to the viewer at this point. In this study, the effect of minimalism on motion graphics as a timeless current has been investigated. In Part 1 of the thesis, minimalism was studied in the field of visual arts and graphic design. In Part 2, the concept of minimalism and its five concepts were discussed. In Part 3, the history of motion graphics and their usage areas were examined. In Part 4, a new perspective was introduced within the scope of minimalism in motion graphic design elements. In Part 5, semiotic analysis of minimalist motion graphic design samples were made and their common features were emphasized. In Part 6, as a result of the researches carried out in the thesis, the common points of motion graphics were determined and an application study titled "Minimalist Poetry" was designed and this study was analyzed semiologically.
