Abstract (EN)

Media and communication have recently come into prominence more than ever before as a result of significant technological developments. With the advances of the digital era, works have become faster and easier than ever before, and this has contributed to the development of digital media and motion design, and has put it in a more prominent position among other communication systems. The solutions of internet and digital media have enabled communication to reach out to more people in a shorter time at a less cost. This research fundamentally approaches the relationship between motion media design and the appreciation levels of society, whose importance has increased through the use of mass media communication means. Within the framework of this research the input regarding the content has been identified with society, culture, the appreciation level of the society, media, motion graphics media and education. In context of the research, the countries which display variations regarding their culture, structure of society, and their lifestyle, have been determined. Motion design samples, such as title and opening sequences have been collected and examined from these countries. The effect of visual culture and socio-cultural facts, and whether these affects have created variations, have been examined. It has been observed that in forming motion design samples, there are different approaches about the appreciation levels of societies based on their preferences. Those countries which have been included in this research are Turkey, Japan, USA, France, India and Iran. The views of experts on the subject have been taken into account and the interviews have been made with the people who work in this sector by going to those countries and by having video conferences via the internet. The input has been collected as result of the interviews, examination and research conducted, comments have been made about the input within the framework of design criteria; and in light of the structure of societies, the input has been discussed again and some proposals have been made. As a result of the research, the importance of identifying the cultural infrastructure of societies and the effect of mass media groups that create a change in the society have been put forward. This research shows how mass media group targets effect the levels of appreciation, the culture of design, and aesthethic perceptions of societies that are framed by religion, language, environment, and financial status. Within the framework of this research, the significance of motion design on education has been emphasized. As part of the educational process, in regards to computer assisted education, most effective learning takes place when motion design and animations are being used correctly, and when the target audience and their levels of appreciation are taken into consideration. It has been observed that in motion design samples, which have been used as an educational tool, as a result of the use of motion graphics, sound, music and animation, learning and perception levels have increased significantly. Now, with the use of image, sound and motion, educational topics and information can be transferred to individuals more easily. In this research the relationship between motion design and the level of appreciation in the society has been explained within the framework of communication, culture and the structure of societal norms. At the same time, in this research the use of motion design has been highlighted in regards to the increasing level of computer assisted learning. This research carries much significance in terms of its content, results and proposals; it is a pioneer in its field regarding examinations, content, results and its proposals for motion design and its relationship between the levels of appreciation.
