Abstract (EN)
With the technological developments as a result of the industrial revolution and the changes in people's lifestyles, the need for energy is increasing day by day. This situation reveals the necessity of using energy more efficiently. Thus, it has caused energy efficiency to be prioritized among all energy-related issues. The aim of this study is to analyze the energy performance of hospital buildings with intense energy consumption by using a simulation program and to offer suggestions to reduce energy consumption. For this purpose, the contribution of the materials that can be used on the walls and roofs of hospital buildings to the energy efficiency were evaluated with the simulation program, compared and alternative shell components were determined. In this study, a three-dimensional model and Building Energy Model (BEM) were created in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) based on Autodesk Revit 2018 Program of the Fırat University Faculty of Medicine Hospital Emergency Service Building within the borders of the province of Elazig. Then, energy analysis was performed with Green Building Studio (GBS) to calculate the energy consumption differences that will be created by the material types and the way the materials come together. In order to analyze the Emergency Service Building, pumice block, gas concrete and brick were used as traditional masonry materials. Expanded Polystyrene foam (EPS), Extruded Polystyrene rigid foam (XPS), Polyurethane Foam, Rockwool were used as wall insulation material. In addition to the wall materials, there are alternatives where the green wall type is applied in the form of modules. All these materials were applied to the wall as an internally insulated wall, an externally insulated wall, and a sandwich wall. Classical terrace roof and green roof were chosen as roof type. Using all materials, 148 different alternatives were created. As a result of the study, all the alternatives determined were examined, compared, and the most positive and the most negative alternatives were determined.
