Abstract (EN)

UNDERSTANDING THE PERMACULTURE IN THE HOSPITALS Significant changes have come out in the fields of production and consumption with the Industrial Revolution. These changes have brought about differentiations in the lifestyles and relations of societies. All these global changes have entailed sorting out the resource management and waste management and have brought out the concept of sustainability. It is apparent that sustainability will only be possible with the accurate nature-human relation, considering the limits and life support capacity of the globe. Rapid urbanization as a result of migration from the rural areas has necessitated rethinking and planning the production and consumption concepts. It is possible to acquire a clean environment, safe food and effective healthy means of communication with the right designs of natüre-human relationship in city life. In this study, it has been designed to set up such a right relationship in hospitals, which is. one of the field of most intense public use. In the study, the term "permaculture" is used as the desing tool. It has been thought that the change in hospitals will not only stay as an environmentalist discourse bur also it can from a business administration model that will be useful for resource management and waste management. The adoption and understanding of this human based structure by all the personnel will provide advantages and competitive capacity in terms of business.
