Abstract (EN)

Different literature datas were collected and evaluated by different research subjects for hydrocarbon prospection purpose in Hatay province. Petroleum and natural gas possibilities were researched mainly geochemical and hydrochemical datas. Study is supported by remote sensing methods with satellite imagery and the vertical migration theory on microseepage model of the hydrocarbons accepted in the literature were adapted to the Hatay province. According to the results of the evaluation of the literature datas, the existence of hydrocarbon deposits that can be produced in the Hatay has been theoretically proved. For this, previously conducted soil gas studies and macro seepage data were reevaluated according to the conceptual migration theory. The findings were provided by remote sensing studies. With the hydrogeochemistry studies, the effect of hydrocarbon reservoir water in shallow aquifers has been evaluated and determined according to the classification systems of various researchers. With the study, the existence of oil and gas was theoretically proved in the Hatay region.
