An research on the works of Hatice Meryem

In this study, titled "A Resarch on the Works of Hatice Meryem" has examined Hatice Meryem's works published from 2000 to 2019. These period includes two novels of Hatice Meryem, called İnsan Kısım Kısım Yer Damar Damar and Yetim; two stories, Siftah and Aklımdaki Yılan; two narratives Sinek Kadar Kocam Olsun Başımda Bulunsun and Bir Kadını Öldürmeye Nereden Başlamalı? and a poetry book Beyefendi- Erkeklere Methiyeler The aim of the study is to examine the works of Hatice Meryem, who brought works in a wide variety of genres to modern Turkish literature, and thus to try to reveal her literary personality. In the Related Field Writing section of the study; explaining of what novel is, the concepts required for novel analysis are emphasized; information about the types of narrative and poetry is given. In the Related Field Literature section, the books, theses and articles that were used during the study were emphasized. In the method section; research model, universe and sample, data collection tools and techniques; brief information about the data collection process and the analysis of the data is given. In the Findings section, which is the main part of the study; there are three main titles as "The Life of Hatice Meryem", "The Art Understanding of Hatice Meryem" and "The Works of Hatice Meryem". In the section of "Hatice Meryem's Works", which is the most comprehensive part of the study in terms of volume, her works in the genres of novels, stories, narratives and poems were examined one by one. In the novel and short story analysis; abstract, plot, narrator and point of view, people, time, place, theme, expression techniques, language and style are emphasized. Her narratives and poetry, on the other hand, were examined with the method of feminist criticism in terms of centering women's problems. Apart from these sections, there are the "Conclusion", which includes a general evaluation, and the "References" section, which shows the sources used, and the "Appendix" section, which includes the interview with Hatice Meryem on 02.06.2023.
