Abstract (EN)
Concrete is the most widely used building material today. It is used in building constructions, road constructions and all kinds of repair works. Concrete production, casting and processing is a building material that requires special labor. As a result of the pouring and processing of concrete, the protection process must also be done properly. Reducing the void ratio and microcracks in concrete are two important factors in achieving high strength. In addition, the brittle structure of concrete limits its energy absorption capacity. In order to prevent these problems, fibers of different sizes and ratios are added to concrete. In this way, the mechanical properties of concrete are improved and its strength and ductility are increased. Concrete roads are increasingly being used today because they are long-lasting and durable. Especially the fact that concrete roads reflect light and have high strength makes their usage areas widespread. In our country, it is seen that airport runway roads are mostly made of asphalt. The reason is that it is easier to process and workmanship. However, concrete runway roads can provide service for a long time when they are made in accordance with the specifications and well protected. The aim of this study is to evaluate the use of concrete mixtures prepared by using different propylene fiber types on airport runway roads and to examine their effects on wear resistance. Since concrete is a material with low ductility, no matter how high its strength is, when it does not behave ductile, it causes sudden breakage and reduces the service life of runway roads. In the construction of concrete airport runway roads, we will consider the effects on abrasion resistance with 2 different fiber types that we will use 1% and 2% of the cement ratio. It has been observed that as the fiber ratio increases, although the strength decreases slightly, the abrasion resistance increases.
