Abstract (EN)
The aerospace industry is a strategic sector where material performance and energy efficiency are of critical importance. In this context, 6xxx series aluminum alloys such as 6061 and 6013 are widely used due to their superior properties, including lightweight, high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability. This thesis aims to analyze and optimize the machining parameters that affect energy consumption during the milling of these alloys. Experimental studies were carried out using a 2⁴ full-factorial design, considering four independent variables: spindle speed, depth of cut, tool diameter, and material type. The results were analyzed using Minitab software through analysis of variance (ANOVA), regression modeling, coded coefficients, graphical evaluations (Contour Plot, Main Effects Plot, Interaction Plot, Cube Plot), and response optimization methods. The analyses revealed that spindle speed and tool diameter significantly affect energy consumption and that the 6013 alloy results in lower energy use. The optimal parameter combination is verified using confirmation experiments. The differences between predicted and experimental values remained within acceptable limits. This study contributes to the goals of sustainable production and energy efficiency in the aerospace industry and provides an applied approach to the optimization of machining processes.
