Abstract (EN)
In this study, a solution for flight assignment, which is a problem that airline companies frequently come across, is developed by taking the advantage of operations research techniques. Firstly, studies in the literature about this subject were analysed and deficiencies in those studies were identified. Next, a binary mathematical model was developed by considering those deficiencies. In the next step, developed model was solved by simulated annealing method with data obtained from one of the front liner airline company of Turkey. Then, values obtained from the solution results were analysed and the performance of the model in solving larger problems was evaluated. Finally, suggestions for future studies were proposed.
