Abstract (EN)
The contribution of etude studies to the education and performance development of the Turkish Music violin is significant. A review of the relevant literature, particularly within the context of Haydar Tatlıyay, revealed no existing study focused on the creation of etudes for Turkish Music violin education. This study was conducted to create a resource and etude repertoire for both educators and performers of the Turkish Music violin. The book "Haydar Tatlıyay's Life and Works," compiled by his wife, Makbule Tatlıyay, was used as the primary source. Examination of this relevant source on Haydar Tatlıyay identified 144 works. These works constituted the population of the research, and 10 instrumental works selected from among them via random sampling formed the study's sample. The relevant data were obtained through the documentary scanning method. The research model was determined as a general survey model among scanning models, and the research was designed as a descriptive study. The 10 works within the research sample were analyzed. In light of the data obtained, a total of 50 etudes were created, consisting of 5 etudes for each work. During the creation of the etudes, motifs selected from Tatlıyay's relevant works were multiplied using ascending and descending sequential constructions. Within the resulting notation, bowing, ornamentation, and position techniques for the violin were incorporated. This research concludes that: creating etude studies for Turkish Music violin education is feasible; the works of Haydar Tatlıyay can be utilized for this purpose; and etudes can be effectively constructed by sequentially adding motifs in a sequenced (sequence) manner.
