ABSTRACT Ready made clothing is a sector which eliminates fashion matters to chose which model, use how much fabric and to decide who will sew it and a sector in which production is carried out serially, so as to give the pleasure and comfort of choosing by seeing, trying and wearing immediately. In ready - made clothing sector which gives precedence to the quality in all stages of production, continuity of education is the fundamental principle. Qualified employee shortage within the sector can be overcome by meeting the demand of well educated labor force with the developing technology. Unless the lack of training is eliminated, only importing advanced technology will not be meaningful on its own. This research is prepared for determining required education level of the preferred labor force in ready made doting sector and evaluating, the education provided to the staff who use the new technology when it is imported from the view of the executive and the educator. 63 people in executive position and 71 educators working in various departments of 27 businesses chosen randomly among the ready made clothing businesses operating in Ankara forms the sample of this research. Two different data gathering instruments were developed for executives and educator staff, in order to collect the required data from businesses. Analyze of the data was made by SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) computer program. According to the findings, executives were found to have a high level of education. However, educators were seen to have low level of education and the training they provide is not successful in expected level. The new employees are generally trained by the chief of department within the business by the method of training at work. Well established busiesses follow the technology in order to stay on the agenda and to extend their line. They spend money on innovation activities forpurchasing machines that are suitable for product change and technology. The place of technological innovation oriented education within these expenses is great. When employing a new member for the business, education and experience are considered to have the priority. Executives wish to employ people who received professional education. According to these results such suggestions were made; the training of educator staff in the company should start as soon as possible. Programs that are planned with the help of the professionally trained educator staff should be prefered to get the desired results from the educational facilities. Because of the lockness of well trained labour force in the companies. New programmes based on school - industry collaboration should be prepared to make the schools know the new technology.
