Abstract (EN)
Helical springs are one of the most frequently used mechanical parts in automotive, aeronautical and mechanical engineering. Helical springs are typically used for storing energy and absorbing shocks. Coil springs, torsion springs and compression springs are other names given to helical springs. Static and dynamic behaviour of helical springs are investigated by many engineers and scientists because of its wide range of applications in a variety of engineering fields. Most of the time approximate solutions and finite element method are employed for these purposes. In this study, a method for obtaining exact solutions of natural frequencies of helical springs is presented.
