Abstract (EN)
Worldwide, most of the causes of death due to trauma are uncontrolled bleeding. Deaths due to blood loss without emergency intervention are high. The aim of this study is to develop a hemostatic agent for life-threatening injuries and deep injuries. The main objective is to stop blood loss due to injury until surgical operation and to accelerate blood clotting. Blood loss, which occurs in traumatic injuries, is important as time goes on. Therefore, it is important for the blood stopper granule to act quickly and to apply it to the injured individual. The developed biopolymer product is considered stable and easy to use and portable due to its granular form. In this context, heavy bleedings are designed as a product with the necessary high absorbance ability and at the same time supporting and accelerating the coagulation mechanism. In vitro tests and in vivo tests with blood-stopping granules developed by reverse-wet granulation using cross-linking agent proved the efficacy of biopolymer product as a hemostatic agent in rats.
