Abstract (EN)
Aim: This study was conducted to determine the work motivation of officials in terms of their perception of work environment and connection support. Material and Method: The sample for this descriptive, cross-sectional study consisted of a training and research hospital and a state hospital in the Black Sea region. A total of 263 nurses who met the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Research data were collected using the "Individual and Characteristics Questionnaire," " The Nurses Job Motivation Scale," "Nursing Work Index- The Practice Work Environment Scale," and "Perceived Organizational Support Scale" through face-to-face interviews between August and November 2024. Data were analyzed using SPSS V23 and R programs, with the significance level of p<0.05. Results: In the cases where the individual and professional characteristics of the nurses and the contributing artists were examined, the average age was 36.08±8.52, 72.2% were licensed, 73.8% were married, 63.1% of the professionals worked in a state hospital, 60.8% worked in a state hospital, 60.8% were satisfied with working in the system, 74.9% were satisfied with their wages, 62.4% found their wages, and 93.9% were satisfied with the social opportunities. It was determined that the perception of professionalism and exit support was at a moderate level above the average of the nurses' work motivation. A significant positive very weak correlation was found between The Nurses Job Motivation Scale and The Nursing Work Index- The Practice Work Environment Scale (p=0.004), and positive and significant correlations were found between The Nurses Job Motivation Scale and the Perceived Organizational Support Scale (p<0.001). As a result of regression analysis, perceived support, institution visits and satisfaction with the unit were significant predictors of Formal work motivation. Conclusions: The results of this study indicate that as nurses' perceived organizational support level increases, their work motivation increases, and satisfaction with the type of institution and department they work in influences nurses' work motivation. Consequently, developing and implementing strategies to improve nurses' work environments and perceptions of organizational support may be beneficial for increasing nurses' work motivation.
