2SUMMARYThe Establishment Of Knowledge Level Of Nurses About DiabetesThis study was performed in order to determine the knowledge level of the nurseswho are working in the different hospitals in Afyon town centre.This research was occupied with 236 nurses who admitted to attend the studywho were working in Afyon Public Hospital, Zübeyde Hanım Obstetrics and ChildHospital, Thorax Disease Hospital, Afyon Kocatepe University Medical FacultyHospital and in 11 Public health centers. A questionnaire, that has 2 parts, was usedto collect the data. The first part, included the demographic data. DiabetesKnowledge Test, that was developed by Michigan Diabetes Researh and TrainingCentre was used to determine the did of diabetes knowledge of nurses in the secondpart.The resulting data were determined by T-testi, Kruskal Wallis Test, MannWithney U Test and Chi Square Test.The study showed that the nurses who are working in Afyon town centreshould improve their knowledge about diabetes.
