Abstract (EN)
It is important to study the concepts related to talent management, which play an important role in evaluating nurses' talents. The first stage was to develop the Nurses' Perception of Talent Management Scale (NPTMS) and to conduct the validity and reliability analyses, while the second stage was to test the hypothesis model determining the relationship between psychological capital, learning agility, nurses' perception of talent management, individual adaptive performance and subjective career success. The population of the first stage in methodological design consisted of 2050 nurses working in Istanbul, and the sample consisted of 918 who were reached using convenience sampling method (nEFA=422, nCFA=496). It was found that the scale consisted of 26 items and one dimension, explained 63.205% of the variance related to the structure, and was a valid and reliable measurement tool. The population of the second stage consisted of 2958 nurses working in Istanbul, and the sample consisted of 1060 reached using convenience sampling method. According to the tests using the structural equation modeling, the model showed acceptable fit. Psychological capital had a significantly positive effect on nurses' perception of talent management, individual adaptive performance and subjective career success; learning agility on individual adaptive performance and subjective career success; nurses' perception of talent management on individual adaptive performance and subjective career success. However, learning agility had no significant effect on nurses' perception of talent management. The partial mediating role of nurses' perception of talent management, was determined both in the effect of psychological capital on individual adaptive performance, and psychological capital on subjective career success. This study provides a comprehensive contribution to the literature as the first study to examine the antecedents and outcomes by developing the NPTMS. In health services, where nursing talents are determined, developed and assessed, their adaptation to current and future work environments will be easier and their career success will increase.
