Designing a computer laboratory with all the details

In this study, a virtual design of a computer laboratory has been made bytaking into account the ergonomic dimensions of the elements of studying infront of monitors; by sticking to the values of heating, cooling, conditioning,lightining systems standarts as well as architectural and interior designstatndarts; by taking the elements of network and projection into considerationas well as the convinence of updating techonology of today.The standards are determined by depending on extensive literature review,expert opinions and personal experiences, and the best design for an efficientand effective laboratory according to these standards is explored and offered inthe study.The literature review reveals that there is not enough study for standardizationof computer laboratories in educational settings. However, there are somestandardization studies and efforts for other kinds of laboratories. Especially,the design of computer laboratory is critical for effective computer aidedlearning and teaching activities to achive high performance in educationalsettings.Therefore, it is supposed that this study will be a reference point for an effectiveand efficient computer laboratory.Key Words : Standards, computer classroom, designing
