Abstract (EN)

Aim: Phosphazenes constitute an important class of heterocyclic compounds. Cyclophosphazenes (NPCl2), which constitute an important class of heterocyclic inorganic compounds, are quite interesting because they form a wide variety of cyclophosphazene derivatives due to the active phosphorus-halogen bonds they contain. The aim of this study is to characterize the synthesized compounds using literature and to determine their antioxidant capacity and cytotoxic effects. Material and Method: The antioxidant capacities of the synthesized compounds were determined spectrophotometrically. The cytotoxic effects of the same extracts were evaluated in vitro. The structures of the synthesized heterocyclic derivative compounds are as follows: Their structures were elucidated using 1H, 13C, 31P, NMR, and FTIR techniques. Results: In the studies, compounds [1], [2], and [3] were synthesized by reacting hexachlorocyclotriphosphazatriene with N,N-diisopropylpropane 1,3-diamine, para-bromophenol, and para-formylphenol, respectively. According to the DPPH radical scavenging power test, the compounds were observed to be 0.21-9.83 mg TEAC/100 g, and 0.011 mmol TEAC/g for CUPRAC analysis. In the cancer cell line (HEP3B), compounds 1 and 2 showed up to 50% cytotoxicity at 10 μM and 25 μM doses compared to the liver negative control after 48 hours of incubation. For the same compound, this rate was 80% at higher doses. Compound coded 3 exhibited 70% cytotoxicity at 10 and 25 μM doses compared to the negative control, while this rate reached 85% at higher doses (50 and 100 μM). Conclusion: It was determined that the synthesized compounds have antioxidant capacity and cytotoxic effect potential.
