Abstract (EN)
Increasing oil prices depending on diminishing fossil fuel reserves brings about an effort to find means of improving energy efficiency and a tendency to seek for alternative energy sources in transportation. In a near future, market share of hybrid electric vehicles and consequently full electric vehicles will increase among other competitors considering their commercialization rates. This thesis work is focused on traction motor control of electric and series hybrid electric road vehicles. In this context, first information about electric and hybrid electric vehicles and their subsystems is introduced. In addition, electric tmotor characteristics are defined. Comparison of the electrical machines that used on the hybrid electircal vehicle is done.
