Abstract (EN)

The laser source is a welding method that can be used instead of welding processes such as conventional welding methods. Besides the many advantages of the laser, the integration with the developing technology has increased the preferability in manufacturing processes. Using the laser welding method, the production process, especially in the field of health, space, air and automotive technology can be used, resistant to corrosion, increased corrosion resistance and high strength coatings will be produced. Laser welding is used for metal and composite materials. The laser source provides a low thermal impact and high penetration of the workpiece under the area of narrow heat effect (ITAB). The aim of this thesis is to increase the hardness and strength of the welding zone in steels by forming high wear resistance coatings by laser welding method. For this purpose, 2%, 10% and 20% silicon carbide (SiC) and Tungsten Carbide (WC) were mixed into the Nickel (Ni) powder by laser welding method and hybrid coating in nanoscale was made on the base by laser welding. Microstructure investigations, abrasion and hardness tests and SEM EDS analysis of the produced coatings were performed.
