Abstract (EN)

The methods of design and production are continuosly changing. Today most of the design and production processes are automatised. Currently designers are using digital design and production to change the traditional design by combining traditional and modern technologies to creat a structure in which they can figure out themselves. Developing technology enables designers to carry out their ideas swiftly and to combine different traditions by considering variant tendencies. Combining traditional technologies with digital ones helps some designers to put forward the concept of hybrid design in which the designers can creat unite the traditionalism with modernity. Hybrid design is a concept which combines two different styles of wiping out each other. It aims to creat a unique experience by employing technology, art and science in the process of designing. Adopting and creating new multilayered structures is in the centre of hybrid design concept. The aim of this study is to put forward the importance of the impact of hybrid design on fashion design. Thus, the growth of hybrid design, transition to hybrid methods from traditional ones and the technological developments that are used in hybrid designs are studied in this thesis by following literatüre survey methods. Theoretical researches are supported by analysing the case models.
