Abstract (EN)
With the rapid progress and wisdom of technology, the automotive industry is changing and renewing the crust. Increased emissions and reduced liquid fuel reserves; it has strongly encouraged producers and industry members to consider alternative energy and propulsion solutions. Although electric vehicles have zero emission emissions while on-driving, electricity is handled from fossil resources on power plants. When this situation is taken into consideration, the systems where the electricity production can be achieved with the emulation of the least emissions are being researched for the use in the automotive industry. Hydrogen is the most important energy sources in the world that produces only water vapor as a result of chemical combustion reaction. Therefore, fuel cell electric vehicles, which use hydrogen as fuel, continue its growing trend in the sector. Energy analysis of each working system and determination of its efficiency are especially important in the field of mechanical engineering. In recent years, simulation programs have been used actively by all engineering units in order to save time and cost. In this study, fuel cell electric vehicle and fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle pair; were compared in the perspective of performance and energy distribution with AVL Cruise simulation program. As a result of the study, according to WLTP driving cycle, fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle has given more preferable and effective results rather than fuel cell electric vehicle in terms of energy consumption and hydrogen consumption with 8% and 35%, respectively.
