Abstract (EN)
In this study, single and multi-layered thin films were produced by Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) thin film technique using β hydroxy amine-based calix[4]arene (NHDACx). Quartz glass, quartz crystal and gold-coated glass surfaces were selected as solid substrates and NHDACx molecules on the water surface were transferred onto these solid surfaces. NHDACx LB thin films were characterized by UV-Visible Spectroscopy, Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) and Surface Plasmon (SPR) techniques. NHDACx LB thin films were exposed to three different harmful organic vapors (dichloromethane, acetone and benzene) after being coated on a gold-coated glass surface. The results showed that the NHDACx LB thin film material can be used as sensor element at room temperature. At the same time, it was observed that the NHDACx LB thin film sensor was more responsive to dichloromethane vapor than other harmful organic vapors.
