Sport as a type of work in the service sector

Sport, directly or indirectly, is an important part of our lives. Whether you are in sportive activities for a healthy life, you watch the games of the sports club you support, or you follow the sports pages of the newspaper, all means that sports is in your life in one way. The fact of sports, which has a history equal to the history of humankind, had an important transformation at the last quarter of the twentieth century. Once it was an alternative occupation to apart from our daily anxieties, now it has become an industry. Like all other industrial fields, sports industry has its labourers and the beginning of the recognition and explanation process of the labour relations world, with its concepts and institutions, covering these labourers is still new. It will be more convenient to use the words of "very new" or "premature" instead of "new", regarding the situation in our country. This work is a preliminary effort to figure out the labour relations in the sports industry, which is a service sector of the global capitalist economy.
