Abstract (EN)

Lymphoma is malignant lymphoid cells derived from various differentiation stages of the immune system. It's divided into two types as Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) Lymphomas; often show mediastinum, hilum and lung parenchyma involvement. In staging of lymphoma, CT, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or ultrasound identify lymphadenopathy (LAP) , based only on the "size" criteria. Also there are limitations in, small in size, but metastatic lymph nodes, lymph nodes with inflammation and determining viable cells in previously treated lesions. Also in determining spleen, liver and bone marrow involvement, CT has a very low sensitivity. Positron Emission Tomography (PET-CT) is a current pre-treatment staging examination used in HL involvement and 75-91% sensitive in the show area. In 13-21% patients changes the stage. After the treatment, is an important tool to assess response. In our study, we examined, in Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Hematology Department in the follow-up, and diagnosed from the year 2000 until today, 247 HL and NHL patients, at diagnosis and post-treatment thoracic CT and / or PET CT findings. Finding in thoracic region is searched for having an invasive procedure (bronchoscopy, mediastinoscopy, lung biopsies, etc.) in our hospital registration. Evaluating the pathology in these processes, with the comparison of chest CT and / or PET-CT after diagnosis and treatment, we aimed to investigate the effects on survival. The 5-year survival 91.8% and 10-year survival 89% in HL and 5-year survival 88.5% and 10-year survival 83.4% in NHL was observed. Venture diagnosed with lymphoma, a 5-year survival of 85.4% and 10-year survival was 73.2% was found. 5-year and 10-year survival 95.5% of those diagnosed with lymphoma initiative. In between these two groups was not statistically significant (p = 0.118). 5-year survival of SUVmax under was 92.2% and in those 12 and over SUVmax 5-year survival was found 57.1%. Statistical significance was found between these two groups (p = 0.003). Because those who begin to be followed before 2007 didn't have PET CT or some patients whose PET CT weren't recorded in our system, some patients are evaluated only by CT. In this sense, it is clear that a good record is important. Lung toxic side effects of the agent can not be raised in case of a possible limitation of respiratory function tests or be given in limited doses. Key Words: Lymphoma, Hodgkin, Non Hodgkin, PET CT, Lung
