Abstract (EN)
Cellular Manufacturing Systems are popular production techniques thataim to increase productivity in mass production systems. Therefore, increasing the productivity of tools that used in production is the aim ofthat system. The most important tools are the work force and material. In this thesis investigations were carried out about evaluation of cellsproductivity. Starting point was the relation between cellular productionsystem and the work force and material. First of all, the position ofcellular production system in production systems was determined. Thecell ordering problem was considered and its solution methods wereresearched with comprehensive literature investigation. And then, mathematical programming model was developed that made optimumof total cellular productivity. LINGO and Simulated Annealing Methodwas used for solution of model that developed. For the aim of workingthe method, an hypothetic problem was carried out.Science Code : 919Key Words : Cellular manufacturing system, simulated annealing, productivity, intracell material handlingPage Number : 103Advise : Prof. Dr. Orhan TÜRKBEY
