Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT Sufi thought literature is a journey that addresses the depths of the human soul and emerges by discovering spiritual phenomena. One of the most valuable examples of this journey is the work of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi called "Mesnevi-i Manevi". Mevlana has offered teachings on love, passion and spiritual depths to humanity throughout the ages, and these teachings have been commented on by many thinkers and Sufis for centuries. In this study, we examine the work called "Cevâhirü'l-Esrâr ve Zevâhirü'l-Envâr", which is a commentary on Mevlana's "Mesnevi". The work was written in Persian by Hasan-i Khârizmî and provides an in-depth analysis of the first three volumes of Mevlana's "Mesnevi". While "Jawahiru'l-Esrar and Zawahiru'l-Envar" explains the cornerstones of Sufi thought, it also examines Rumi's ideas in a wide spectrum of Islamic thought. This commentary, with Hasan-i Khwarizmi's broad intellectual background and deep Sufi knowledge, makes the world of meaning in the Masnavi more accessible. Hasan-i al-Khwarizmi not only wrote a commentary, but also revealed their extensive place in Islamic thought by referring to the fundamental figures of Islamic Sufism, such as Muhyiddin Ibn al-Arabi, Imam Ghazali, Abu Najib Suhrawardi and Imam Qushayri. During the writing of this work, Hasan al-Khwarizmi expressed Sufi teachings in a poetic language, presenting a multi-faceted perspective on the depths of Sufism. In this doctoral thesis, Hasan-i Khwarizmi's Sufi thoughts, contributions to the tradition of commentary, and his Sufi personality are examined in detail, and his influence on the "Masnavi-i Manavi" is examined. At the same time, understanding Hasan-i Khwarizmi's place in the Sufi world and his approach to the Masnavi in this context will provide the reader with a deep perspective on Rumi's teachings. It is emphasized that Hasan-i Khwarizmi's work is not only a commentary, but also an important source that illuminates Sufi teachings and leaves an intellectual legacy.
