The life and personality of Kays b. Sa'd, Hz. Ali's governer of Egypt

Kays b. Sa?d?s life and political personality has been dealt with in this study. Our aim is to provide the readers with the information regarding Kays b. Sa?d and the events in which he played affective/active role. In this study, the structure of Medine before the prophet was mentioned primarily. In the first part of this study, the period of his life from the Prophet and the 4 caliphs to the period of Hz. Hasan was examined, and his family, especially his governorship of Egypt during the period of Hz. Ali and his role in the historical events of that period were studied. In the second part, his scholarship and personality were examined and the characteristics underlying, the Fundamentals of his personality with Mohammed?s traditions that he narrated were put forward in this study. And at the conclusion, personal, military and political characteristics of Kays b. Sa?d were emphasized who came front as the Governer of Egypt at the period of Hz. `Ali.
