Abstract (EN)
The topic of the thesis is to examine the narratives of Prophet David in the Qur'an, taking into consideration the conditions of the revelation period and elucidating the messages conveyed in these narratives. The study initially provides explanations and examples for concepts such as narrative, biography, and the relationship between narrative and biography. It also explores the position of Prophet David in Jewish and Islamic sources based on information found in primary sources. The main focus of the thesis, the narratives of Prophet David, has been examined chronologically considering the conditions of revelation, and efforts have been made to elucidate the messages conveyed by these narratives to the primary audience, Prophet Muhammad, and to all believers. According to the findings, significant messages have been conveyed to Prophet Muhammad and the addressees through the narratives of Prophet David. Foremost among these messages is the mention of the worldly and otherworldly favors bestowed upon Prophet David by Allah. The message strongly emphasizes that such great rewards await believers after difficulties and trials. Another message conveyed to Prophet Muhammad and the believers is the acceptance of communication between Allah and humans through revelation, emphasizing that this is a natural process within the laws of Allah for those who cannot accept it. The balance and harmony in Prophet David's worship life, his warrior characteristics, and certain aspects have directly influenced the life of Prophet Muhammad and his companions, serving as an example. In conclusion, the strength of Prophet David, both in the worldly and otherworldly sense, is presented as a role model for Prophet Muhammad and the believers. The study is shaped accordingly, aiming to highlight the impact and vivid reflections of the messages conveyed through Prophet David on Prophet Muhammad and the believers.
