Rearing larvae of Trchoptera (Insecta) collected from swift-flowing waters in the laboratuary

In this work it is aimed that trichopter larvas and pupas which have been picked up from fast flowing rivers in the border of Kastamonu. For this purpose, a convenient growing range is created to grow up the larvas and pupas of trichoptera. With this growing range, the behaviours of larvas and pupas are examined, the grown species is inspected. Also the environment for larva which is created is a reliable and effective environment to obtain adult trichopters. Also the explanations and the images of the characters used in the diagnosis of the larvas that are grown up with this study. For his work, in 2017 betwen March and October larvas of 446 trichopter and the samples of 35 pupas, picked up from Daday stream, from the rank of Karasu Stream Set Alabalık Facility and from the rank of Karacehennem Brook Ersizlerdere are grown up in the aquarium assembly that is created in the lab environment. From the larvas and pupas that is grown up in the lab, 6 species that belong to 3 genus of 3 families (Rhyacophilidae, Philopotamidae, Hydropsychidae) are defined and followed their progress. At the end of the work, in the total 44 adult andividuals from the species of Rhyacophila nubila Zettersted, 1840, 2; from the species of Philopotamus montanus Danovan, 1813, 2; from the species of Hydropsyche angustipennis (Curtis, 1843), 1; from the species of Hydropsyche bulbifera McLahan 1878, 18; from the species of Hydropsyche dinarica Marinkoviç, 1979, 1 and from the species of Hydropsyche instabilis (Curtis, 1834), 20; are obtained.
