Quick productivity appraisal (qpa) approach and measurement of productivity and an application on a textile company

In our global world, the pressure of competition is rising and productivity is the indespensable competition factor. As long as companies continue their activities in an efficient way, they will resist the pressure of competition and continue their presence. The productivity of companies is important for both themselves and for the society and the country they exist. While productivity reflects to the company as decline of the costs and increase of the profits, it reflects to the society as new investments, increasing added value, welfare of society and employment. To continue productivity, which has such importance, it is also important to measure it. Productivity, which is measured constantly, provides true and rational director decisions, and guarantees noticing the problems on time and solving them. At the same time measurement of productivity plays an important role for increasing productivity. Because of that, different approaches and models for the measurement of productivity are introduced. One of the approaches of productivity measurement we gave place within the study is Quick Produductivity Measurement Approach, developed by Elena Avedillo-Cruz. Quick Produductivity Measurement Approach, QPA, is a technique of produductivity measurement Approach, that can be prefered since it shows problematic areas besides it simplifies productivity measurement. In this study while importance of productivity measurement attracts attention, at the same time, Quick Produductivity Measurement Approach, which is a simple application technique, also attracts attention. In this respect, Quick Produductivity Measurement Approach, is applied as an example in a company which operates in the field of textile, in Bursa )negöl by getting comparative balance sheet and income statements.
