Abstract (EN)
Ibn Abdilberr, one of the Islamic scholars who grew up in the Andalusian geography, is not only a jurist who has reached the degree of ijtihad, but also a competent scholar who has produced books in the fields of hadith, history, literature and biography. Ibn Abdilberr, who started his education in Cordoba, the center of Andalusia, and continued his scientific studies until the end of his life, conveyed his scientific knowledge to the next generations through the works he wrote and the students he educated. Ibn Abdilberr, who traveled to different cities due to some internal turmoil and security reasons, became known in the fields of fiqh and hadith. The administrators of his time attended his lectures in order to benefit from him. Ibn Abdilberr, who was deemed worthy of the post of judge due to his value in the eyes of society and his knowledge, fulfilled this duty in different cities. Engaged in intensive scientific studies, Ibn Abdülbar received lessons and permission from teachers who read the main books of the first generations of famous Malikî fiqh and hadith scholars through scientific journeys from other Islamic centers to Andalusia, thus he was accepted among the scholars of hadith. Influenced by the schools of Egypt, Kairouan, Medina and Baghdad, the Andalusian Malikî school has trained many valuable jurists and scholars. The Andalusian Malikî school, which was formed and started to develop through Imam Malik's students, hosted valuable studies that encouraged ijtihad and based on a return to primary sources, through Ibn Abdilberr and scholars like him. Although the sect he followed in methodology was the Malikî systematic, Ibn Abdilberr also included the views of different schools in his works. This situation clearly shows that he is a jurist who does not blindly accept fiqh views without examining them and correlating them with the sources. His books, the students he educated, his fiqh views, his knowledge of the first sources of the Malikî sect, his appreciation of ijtihad and criticism of imitation are important in terms of showing his place in Malikî jurisprudence.
