The Gulshan-i Efkâr Masnawi of Ibrahim Shânî Lârendevî (Text-Content-Analysis)

In this thesis, named ?the Gulshan-i Efkâr Masnawi of Ibrahim Shânî Lârendevî (Text-Content-Analysis)?, we have at first tried to present the text of Shânî?s masnawi and then analyzed it according to religious and mystical literature. The thesis consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction, to be more understandable, we have given informations about political and cultural life in the sixteenth century, Ibrahim Shânî Lârendevî?s life story, his personality and his studies. Moreover, his name and mahlas were clarified were studied by discussing knowledges about mahlas and whole name of poet. In the first chapter, significance of Shâni?s Gulshan-i Efkâr was emphasized by submitting the content of Gulshan-i Efkâr. Then, religious and mystical ideas in Gulshan-i Efkâr were analyzed. In the chapter two, the characterizations of various copied manuscripts of Gulshan-i Efkâr were examined and the method followed by us in constructing the text of the masnawi was explained.
