Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to compare the values and violence tendencies of the students of the faculty of sports sciences who do team sports in the Central Anatolia Region. The population of the research consists of the students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences who do team sports in the Central Anatolia Region, and the sample of the research consists of 405 Faculty of Sports Sciences students who do team sports in the provinces of Ankara, Konya, Sivas, and Karaman. In addition to the Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher, the Individual Values Inventory and Team Sports Violence Tendency Scale were used as the data collection tool. The data were analyzed using the JAMOVI (2.2.2) program. The normality of the data was evaluated based on descriptive statistics such as skewness and kurtosis. Independent sample T-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to examine the difference between variables on normally distributed data, and Pearson correlation analysis was used for relationships. Kruskal Wallis test and Spearman Correlation test were used for data that did not show normal distribution. According to the findings, when the individual value inventory sub-dimensions of the participants were examined, the averages for the values were found to be high. When the sub-dimensions of the team sports violence tendency scale were examined, the average of the individuals was found to be low. While no significant difference was found in all sub-dimensions of the individual values inventory according to class, father's education and branch variables, there were significant differences in various sub-dimensions according to gender, mother's education and place of residence. While no significant differences were found in all sub-dimensions of the violence tendency scale according to the mother's education, father's education and place of residence, significant differences were found in various sub-dimensions according to the variable of gender, class and branch. According to the correlation test performed to evaluate the relationship between individual values and violence tendencies, a moderate negative relationship was found. As a result, the values and violence tendencies of individuals differ according to various variables, and the violence tendencies of individuals with high perceptions of values are low.
