Abstract (EN)
This study aims to reveal the individuals of the Crassulaceae family, on a species basis, that can be used in vertical gardens in the interior spaces of Çukurova University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture. For this purpose, Crassula perforata and Crassula ovata cv. in vertical garden systems established on the north and south facades. 'Gollum' species/cultivar was used as plant material. The growth characteristics of the plant material used in the study under different light and temperature conditions indoors were determined. Thus, suggestions have been developed regarding the species that can be used in vertical gardens that have the ability to increase the quality of indoor life. The plants in question were planted in vertical gardens established in the interior of Çukurova University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture. The width of these gardens is 94 cm and the height is 52 cm. Each panel consists of a total of 192 plants, with 3 repetitions. Observations were made between 17 March 2022 and 19 September 2022 to determine the growth characteristics of plant material. As a result of the study, it was revealed that both types provide the best growth in low temperature and light conditions and that they may be suitable for use in vertical gardens. It is thought that this study will lead to vertical garden applications in indoor spaces. Keywords: Vertical Garden, Indoor, Crassula perforata, Crassula ovata cv. "Gollum"
