Abstract (EN)

Exhaust emissions from internal combustion engines have negative impacts on human health and environmental pollution. Strict restrictions imposed to reduce these negative effects have a major impact on automotive costs. The fact that exhaust emission improvement systems are not 100% adequate and their negative effects on vehicle costs cause studies on exhaust improvement systems to focus on exhaust improvement systems. In this study, open-cell geopolymer filters consisting of waste boron additives and waste raw materials were produced. The filters were installed as an after treatment system in the exhaust line of the internal combustion diesel engine. The internal combustion diesel engine was operated at 50 Nm, 75 Nm, 100 Nm torques and engine speeds of 1500 rpm, 1700 rpm, 1900 rpm in order to measure the improvement levels of the boron doped exhaust treatment systems under different loads and speeds of the internal combustion diesel engine. The exhaust emission results were compared according to two different operating conditions, namely the case without the filter installed in the exhaust aftertreatment system and the case with the original exhaust aftertreatment system installed in the engine. Enhanced thermodynamic analyses such as energy, exergy, sustainability, thermoeconomic and exergoeconomic analyses and environmental and environmental economic analyses were applied. It has been determined that boron-doped geopolymer materials, which have a porous structure, contain catalyst materials, are resistant to pressure and temperature, can be applied easily, have low cost, and can be made from waste raw materials, can be an alternative for the exhaust treatment systems in the automotive industry.
