Abstract (EN)

Urinary tract infection is a bacterial infection that often affects the bladder and thus the urinary system. E.coli is one of the leading uropathogenic bacteria that cause urinary tract infections. Uropathogenic E.coli is highly effective and successful in causing urinary tract infections through biofilm formation and urothelial cell invasion mechanisms. Other organisms that cause urinary tract infections include members of the Enterobacteriaceae family, streptococci and staphylococci species and perch. In addition, K. penumoniae is another important gram negative bacterium that causes urinary tract infections. PCR technique is used to detect the types of bacteria that cause urinary tract infections. With the PCR technique, unseen bacterial species can be detected using standard clinical microbiology methods. In this study, antibiotic resistance of K.penumoniae and E.coli bacteria causing urinary tract infection was analyzed by PCR technique. As a result of the experiments conducted within the scope of our study, we found that fimA, one of the virulence factors of E.coli strains, and CTX-M, one of genes that produce ESBL, are associated with CTX-M, ESBL positive and negative strains can have more than one virulence factor at the same tim. a statistically significant relationship with the CTX-M gene in ESBL positive strains. It appears that this gene is not detected in any of the ESBL negative strains. It seems that the CTX-M gene is more dominant in the development of resistance to betalactam group antibiotics. As a result of the experiments conducted within the scope of our study, it is seen that there is a positive relationship between the high prevalence of the B-lactamase genes (blaTEM, blaSHV, and blaCTX-M) resistance genes of K. pneumoniae strains and the increasing resistance of K. pneumoniae strains to lactam and quinolone antimicrobials. On the other hand, phenotypic and genotypic methods are needed to detect the presence of different resistance-related gene production in K. pneumoniae strains.
