Abstract (EN)
Urbanization, industrialization, population growth's use of natural resources, rising energy reliance, and problems in climate change; water management is crucial to a sustainable way of life, safe food, environmental protection, and human health. Recently, access to water resources has become increasingly difficult; the protection of existing water resources, the wide spread using of active dissemination of ecological environmental technologies, the diversification and development of alternative water resources are the main basis of water management policies, which have turned into a strategic argument of the struggle of nations to exist in the world. In order for water management to be used effectively in our country, The Republic of Turkey and the European Union are in strategic cooperation from aspect that the water management unit of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change aims to improve the infrastructure of our cities and make them more manageable. Turkey, with the EU accession negotiations; EU Investments Department, operating under the name of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change with integration and adaptation laws, has started to benefit from financial support programs through grants provided by the Instrument for Pre-Accesion Assistance (IPA) to member countries. The sensitivity of the Republic of Turkey to the environment and its willingness to invest are also reflected in the environmental negotiations, EU integration and harmonization laws; required wastewater treatment plants. Therefore, wastewater treatment plants have been built in many cities from IPA supported projects in Turkey, and Iğdır wastewater treatment plant is among the cities that are still under construction. In this study, "Iğdır Wastewater Treatment Plant Hydraulics and Hydraulic Profile" has been calculated and approached from a different perspective by evaluating the current and planned near future data with the perspectives of 2032 and 2047.
