Abstract (EN)

This study is prepared to give information about Caferi?s of Iğdır, which is one of far-east small cities of modern Turkey. It is situated between Iran, Armania and Turkey. That is why its culture shows great variety from the rest of the country.I was a teacher in Igdır for last five years and during this period I found an oppurtunity to observe many kinds of events, to attent their religous rituals, to interview with them, to take their photo and to prepare a questionnarie to exact meaning of their behavior.The study consists of four parts. The first one is about history of Iğdır, its geographical position, and cultural situation. Second part is about the history and basic charcteristic of Caferî sect and their views about Sunnis. The third part is about the modern situation and the problems of Caferis. The fourth and the last part consist of some evaluations related to the questionnary about the living side of the culture and morals in Igdır from the teacher?s point of view.And as a result we can say that, Igdır is a city which makes people to think about CAFERİ?s sect and their differences from Sunnis.
