Abstract (EN)

In this study, plant water consumption and irrigation management were evaluated using CROPWAT software for wheat crops in Adana Province of the Mediterranean Region based on theoretical data and daily evapotranspiration mm(toplam) calculations were made using meteorological data. The outputs obtained were compared with the results obtained from a field trial conducted in wheat plant under Adana conditions and it was determined under the title of "CROPWAT Model Outputs" that the results obtained theoretically using CROPWAT program were in compliance. In addition, the study evaluated crop water consumption and irrigation management for future periods using climate model data; the analysis revealed a significant increase in crop water demand and irrigation water requirement due to increasing temperature and decreasing precipitation. These results emphasize the importance of reorganizing irrigation strategies in agricultural production processes.
